Russia places the local operations of Nestlé, Auchan, and several related foreign-owned firms under temporary external administration, transferring control to Russian company L.E.V. Management. The decree affects Nestlé’s factories, Auchan’s 229 stores, logistics firms, and other retail assets, while formal ownership remains unchanged for now. Moscow frames the move as retaliation against companies from “unfriendly countries” enforcing sanctions. Nestlé and Auchan say operations will continue, but analysts warn that temporary administration in Russia often precedes forced sales or permanent expropriation.
