Eric Morley, 82, English businessman and founder of the Miss World pageant dies. Eric Morley was a British entertainment impresario and television presenter. He is best known as the founder of the Miss World pageant, which he started in 1951, and for his role as the presenter of the show until his death in 2000. He was awarded an OBE in 1974 for his services to entertainment.
